Today is the day! Looking at my calendar, I could barely stand still because it’s Mikoto’s birthday! I’ve been planning a ‘surprise birthday gift’ for him, I have been planning it for at least two months~. Quickly taking my huge squirt gun and then I left my home to go find Mikoto. I ran toward the HOMRA bar where he usually stays and barged through the doors; I looked around the bar but only to find the other HOMRA members looking at me in surprise.

“Sorry for startling you guys!” I said cheerfully, rubbing the back of my head awkwardly, “Where’s Mikoto?”

“Oh don’t worry about it (Y/N)! Mikoto is upstairs in his room sleeping most likely~.” Tatara replied back, smiling as usual.

Misaki came up to me nervously with blush on his face, “H-Hey (Y/N)…” I smiled at him.

“Hi Yata~.” I greeted back; he started to stutter a lot which made me giggle and Reiko laughed.

“Hahaha! Even when Yata is talking to his best friend ‘(Y/N)’ he still messes up! Hahaha!” Reiko laughed out which ended up a punch in the face from Misaki; then they fought from there while Ann just watched them with an emotionless expression.

I giggled again and walked over to Izumo, “Hey Izumo~.”

“Hello (Y/N)~. You look beautiful today~ By the way, what’s with the water gun?” of course, he always tries to flirt with me and says it almost every day.

I rolled my eyes with a smile, “Still have habits with flirting eh? Anyways, I have a…special surprise for Mikoto~” he looked at me suspiciously then smirked.

“(Y/N)…you know he has a short temper! But good luck~.” Izumo warned, I flashed him another smile.

“Thanks~” With that said, I walked upstairs with the squirt gun, to Mikoto’s room.

I stood before his room door, smirking. As I slowly raised my hand and gently knocked on his door, I tried so hard not to laugh; hearing his heavy footsteps coming toward the door, I raised my water gun to where his face would be. The door opened and Mikoto was standing there raising his eyebrow at me. Before he could say or ask anything I yelled…

“HAAPY BIRTHDAAAYY~!” I yelled as I squirted water in his face.

By the time I ran out of water, he was soaked! His face was priceless! I bursted out laughing not noticing Mikoto’s growl and death glare.

“(Y/N)! Run!!” Misaki shouted at me, I looked over at him.

“Huh? Run? Why?” I chuckled then turned my head.

My giggles/laughter died down as soon as I saw Mikoto start to form a red-aura around his body. I made a small squeak and took off in a flash with Mikoto charging after me; I quickly ran back down the stairs laughing my head off clearly not caring if Mikoto is going to kick my butt. When I reached downstairs where Izumo and everybody else was, I didn’t stop, I just ran out of the bar not looking back. I heard the entrance door of the HOMRA bar slam open, glancing back I see Mikoto running dead-ahead for me! I squeaked again, making a sharp turn now running towards the park.

Finally reaching the park with Mikoto still running after me, I ran to the small wooded-area; I quickly hid under this huge rock cliff that had a river next to it, which looked pretty nice. Peeking around the corner, I didn’t see Mikoto at all…

“Heheheh~ I lost him~” I snickered to myself doing a small fist-pump.

“Ahem!” my eyes grew big when I heard that familiar voice, I slowly turned my head around to only see Mikoto…standing there with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

I stuttered for a couple of seconds then made a nervous laugh and then took off running again. But unfortunately luck wasn’t on my side today…he quickly tackled me onto the grass, making me squeak. I landed on my side with Mikoto holding me in his strong arms.

“Finally got you.” He said with a smirk, I looked up at him smiling nervously.

“Hey Mikoto~…What brings you here~?” I asked innocently which caused him to pull the both of us up from the ground, now standing.

He started to lean in closer, glaring daggers at me, I moved back but ended up bumping into the rock-wall; he smirked then continued to move closer to my face until his forehead rested against mine. I started to get suspicious about this; I gently pushed him away and crossed my arms with a playful glare.

“What?” he asked, taking a step closer to me again.

“You get in my ‘personal space’ a lot.” I replied back, he snickered and leaned against the rock-wall beside me.

“Why’d you spray water in my face?” I looked down at my feet, starting to feel bad about what I did and I began to play with my fingers.

“…I thought i-it would’ve been funny for a birthday prank for you.” I said quietly but loud enough for him to hear.

He nodded and placed his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him then he rested his head on top of mine.

“This means I’ll have to get you back (Y/N).” he said with a small smile.

I gulped and started to freak out, “H-Hey! Mikoto! Can we talk this out?! I-I only did this once! Can’t you let me off w-with a warning-?” I felt a pair of soft/warm lips press against mine.

I stood still, not knowing what to do at the moment because I was stunned by his sudden
action. He pulled away after a few minutes went by and smirked at my shocked expression.

“Come on, let’s head back to the others.” He said as he gently took my hand, leading me back to the HOMRA bar.
